Coaches
Successful coaches have
proved in the history of football to have had what is called a
"strong" personality. But what actually makes such a kind?
Is it strength? Knowledge? Ambition? or is it something above
all of these?
A good coach is defined by:
Personality
talent for the coaching
profession
temperament and energy for
working as a football coach
character for a challenging job
Abilities
and knowledge
capability to select and form a
soccer team
ability to prepare and keep
players in good physical and mental shape
leadership on and off the field
Concept
of performance

recovering
Success as a coach translates a superior ability to analyze
not only game situations, strategies and tactics but above all, oneself.
It is only through an objective introspective look that a coach will be able to
determine his type of personality, strengths and weaknesses as well as his
potential for the future.
The coach is faced daily
with problems and the solution to any of them
comes naturally in three steps:
evaluation
diagnosis
resolution
Similarly, improving
oneself as a football coach will start with a comprehensive evaluation of self
and activity, then continue with the identification of strengths, weaknesses and
unrealized potential, culminating with the formulation of
corrections/improvements and their implementation.
We propose the following
self-evaluation and look at what actually comes out to be your personality as a
soccer coach.
